How are you feeling?

There’s a lot going on this month. Big societal changes. Challenging astrology. Unpredictable weather. Financial strain. And much more. We are all feeling the pressure in one way or another.

My gentle reminder is to come back to the seasonal moment, noticing what is happening where you are right now.

Here in Melbourne we’re just past the **Autumn Equinox**. The days and nights are equal length. The mornings are darker and cooler. The baking afternoon heat is softening. The dead, dry parts of the garden are returning to the soil and you can see new green shoots sprouting after the regenerating autumn rains.

Wearing my Nanna's cardigan in honour of her birthday, Mar 2025

Emotionally, this is a time to notice what is out of balance. What skills, determination and resilience got you to this moment and what can you **grieve and let go** to move forward? This may require integrating old memories and habits, perhaps unearthing parts of yourself you have buried along the way, or practicing the arts of compromise and acceptance.

Balancing is a verb, an action you continue not something you achieve. What actions help you find balance and keep you steady and consistent? Especially when the world around you feels chaotic and unpredictable. What helps you return to your body and find your feet? Time and again?

For me this autumn it has been bush walking, moon watching, enjoying the light at sunset, and [herbal body oiling](https://shop.elemental-medicine.com.au/collections/herbal-body-oils?ref=emilymorter.com).

Tea party in the backyard, Mar 2025

We celebrated two birthdays and a wedding this month. Our daughter turned eleven and had a very sweet and giggly tea party with her friends. It was the first year we celebrated my Nanna’s birthday without her. And we watched two of our friends make a commitment to each other in the pearly autumn light.

Sharing these joyful moments in **community feels very precious** right now…

An equinox moment of balance, Queenscliff, Mar 2025

My deeper thinking this month has been about **everyday resistance** to the status quo that is destroying our environment, our mental health and our communities…

How can we find cracks in the systems, disrupt business as usual, think in our own ways, make it up as we go, create something out of what is discarded, disallowed, broken?

I want to be part of a living breathing network, not a wholly digital world. And I want to do this together. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
